Aluminum alloy die casting is a casting process of forming aluminum alloy metal liquid with high temperature melting state and high pressure high speed press mold cavity forming.
The characteristic of this casting method is that the product is precise in forming and high in production efficiency.
However, the conventional die casting process is defective. Because the gas in the mold cavity can not be effectively excluded during high-speed injection, it remains in the internal part of the casting, forming porosity defects, resulting in poor mechanical properties of the castings. In order to solve this problem, the vacuum pumping method is adopted, that is to say, the gas in the cavity is drawn out during die casting to form a vacuum or negative pressure state, thus reducing the porosity defect in the casting.
For a long time, in order to widen the application scope of die castings and improve the mechanical properties of die castings, some new die casting methods, such as laminar flow filling method (super low speed die casting method), oxygen filling die casting method and vacuum die casting method, have been studied for a long time.
The main purpose of the above method is to reduce the volume of gas in the filling process of metal liquid and improve the mechanical properties of the castings.
Because laminar flow filling method has many disadvantages, such as low production efficiency, complicated operation process and difficult process parameter control, so there are not many applications of these two methods in actual production. The vacuum die casting rule is to extract the gas in the cavity and fill the cavity in vacuum. So the mechanical properties of the castings are improved.
And the vacuum die casting and the common die-casting method, the operation is convenient, does not reduce the production efficiency. Therefore, the vacuum die casting has shown strong vitality since its emergence. With the development of related technology, its application will be more and more extensive.
